Home Health Aide PRN
The Home Health Aide (HHA) plays a vital role in delivering high-quality, person-centered care to clients within their homes. Under the supervision of a licensed healthcare professional, the HHA assists with personal care, daily living activities, and basic health monitoring to support clients’ well-being and help them maintain independence in a safe, comfortable environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide personal care services including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
Assist with mobility, positioning, and transfers using proper techniques.
Observe and promptly report changes in the client’s condition or environment to clinical supervisors.
Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental and emotional well-being.
Accurately document care and services provided in accordance with agency protocols and care plans.
Adhere to established infection control and safety procedures.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Certified Nurse Aid (CNA) License.
One year experience preferred as a Home Health Aid or in a hospital, nursing home, or home health agency.
Current CPR and First Aid certification required.
Demonstrated ability to follow care plans and work effectively under supervision.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks including bending, lifting, and prolonged standing.
Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license and Auto Insurance (if applicable to client assignments).
Work Environment:
Services delivered in clients’ homes, which may vary in physical and environmental conditions.
Regular exposure to household pets, cleaning agents, and possible exposure to blood, bodily fluids and infectious diseases.
Flexibility to adapt to varying schedules and client needs.
